Detailed Product Description:
This is an industrial quality resorcinol/formaldehyde adhesive that is rated waterproof/boilproof
and is typically used for structural wood beams. Due to its strength, and its resistance to the
elements, it is highly recommended for classic wood boat construction and for wood aircraft
construction.
Mixing ratio is 1 part liquid resin to 1 part liquid hardener by volume making it the easiest
by far of all the resorcinol adhesives to use. The mixed adhesive can be successfully cured
at workshop temperatures down as low as 45ºF. When stored below 70ºF, the resin and
hardener have a minimum shelf life of 1 year.
This specific version is called “Medium” cure which is recommended for average workshop
environments. It has a pot life ranging from 5 hours at 59ºF to 1 hr at 86ºF.
It will provide a cure time ranging from 15 hrs at 59ºF to 3 hrs at 86ºF.
Also available are “Fast” and “Slow” speed cure versions for both colder and higher
temperature workshops.
