Detailed Product Description:
A white crystalline powder. Occurs naturally as the mineral Fluorospar.
Insoluble in water. Soluble in ammonium salts.
Most commonly used as a flux in brazing or soldering. Interestingly,
the name “Fluorite” actually has its origins from the word “flux” as
originally used in the steel and aluminum processing industry.
Will liberate hydrogen fluoride in the presence of concentrated
hot sulfuric acid.
Precautions:
A mild irritant to skin. May cause irritation to respiratory tract.
Packaging:
Contents of 200 grams comes packed in 250ml sized wide-mouth polyethylene bottle.
