This aqueous etching solution is formulated specifically for surface

 

Etching of the Austenitic stainless steels for the purpose of weld depth

 

measurement.

 

 

It is formulated in percentages by volume as follows:

 

• 5% Sulfuric Acid

   

• 5% Hydrochloric Acid

   

• 4% Nitric Acid

   

• 4% Hydrofluoric Acid

   

 

Precautions:

Strong irritant to eyes and skin.  Toxic by inhalation.  Corrosive to skin

 

and mucous membranes.
