Detailed Product Description:
A mixture comprised of Hydrochloric acid, Ammonium Hydroxide,
Copper Sulfate, and water, used by metallographers and forensic
scientists for etching ferrous metals. Note the use of Copper Sulfate
instead of the more traditional copper chloride as used in standard Fry’s
Reagent.
Applications:
This enhanced version of Fry’s Reagent was found to be effective for
recovery of ground off engraved serial numbers, which had been found
to be more difficult to raise than stamped serial numbers.
Precautions:
