Detailed Product Description:

Copper(II) Nitrate, commonly referred to simply as copper nitrate,

a blue crystalline solid.  Soluble in water and alcohol.  Can be used

to generate nitric acid by heating to decomposition and passing the

fumes directly into water.

Applications:

Typically used in electroplating, production of burnished effects

on iron and for coloring copper black.

Precautions:

A powerful oxidizer.  Can cause violent combustion or explosion

When in contact with organics.  Toxic by ingestion.  Strong irritant

to skin and tissue.
