Most would recognize ethylene glycol from their experience with its use as one of the major constituents in common automotive antifreeze. But that is where the similarity ends. These are highly refined chemistries, usually of a minimum of Electrolytic Grade, Semiconductor Grade or better.
Ethylene Glycol blends are popular in many industrial applications due to their relatively low cost and overall desirable performance characteristics.
These products can be supplied in either “uninhibited” formulations (no corrosion inhibitors) or in inhibited formulations (with corrosion inhibitors added) formulations depending upon the application.
