Detailed Product Description:

Loctite 7649 (Primer N) is similar to Primer T and is used where increased cure

speed of Loctite anaerobic adhesives is required.  While Fixturing time for Primer T

is about 30 minutes, Primer N requires only 30 seconds.

It is especially recommended for applications with passive metals or inert surfaces

(such as in the case of stainless steel or aluminum alloys) and with large bond gaps.

Also recommended when cure temperature is low (below 15˚C).

Primer-N is essentially a carrier solvent (acetone) in which the surface activating

chemicals are dissolved.  This carrier solvent also serves as an effective degreaser

to prepare the surface for bonding.

Precautions:

Flammable.  Contains Acetone solvent and propane/isobutane for aerosol propellant.

Not recommended for use in pure oxygen and/or oxygen rich systems and should

not be selected with a sealant for chlorine or other strong oxidizing materials. 

Under no circumstances should activator and adhesive be mixed directly as liquids.

Use only in a well-ventilated area.

Loctite Primer N comes packed in a 4 ounce aerosol spray can.
