Detailed Product Description:

Loctite Type 425 is designed as a fast-curing, low strength adhesive for locking

metal and plastic fasteners.  The product is designed for pre-or post-application.

Loctite 425 cures quickly on plated metal and plastic fasteners.  Fixturing is achieved

in less than 2 minutes and full strength within 24 hours.  Fixturing speed can be

increased by application of an activator such as Loctite 7113 Primer.

Loctite 425 is typically used in applications with a service temperature range

from –54ºC up to +85ºC.

Precautions:

Contains methacrylate ester which may cause allergic skin reaction or eye irritation.

Not recommend for use in pure oxygen and/or oxygen rich systems and should not

be selected as a sealant for chlorine or other strong oxidizing materials.  Also not

recommended for use on plastics where stress cracking of the plastic can result.  Users

are advised to confirm compatibility of the product with such substrates or consider

the use of Loctite Type 425 specifically designed for plastics and plastic fastener retention. 

Packaging:

Loctite 425 comes packed in a 10 milliliter plastic squeeze bottle with

convenient dispensing tip.
