Detailed Product Description:

Fuming Sulfuric Acid is a colorless, oily, fuming liquid with a

penetrating sulfurous odor.  It is extremely dense with a specific

gravity of 1.92.  Soluble in water with a significant liberation of

heat.  Corrosive to almost all metals.  

Commonly used as a decapping agent for failure analysis of

integrated circuits.

Grade/Purity:

This is reagent grade, comprised of 80% sulfuric acid which is then

saturated with sulfur trioxide gas that makes up the remaining 20%.

Poison!  Toxic by ingestion.  Strong irritant to eyes and skin. 

Dangerous by inhalation—may cause lung damage.  Corrosive to

fire risk when in contact with organic materials.
