Detailed Product Description:

A colorless, nearly odorless, syrupy liquid with a sweetish taste.  

Slightly soluble in water.  A high boiling point solvent with

applications in extraction processes and in coatings and inks. 

Extractant for gold and uranium ores.

Grade/Purity:

This is reagent grade material with a minimum purity of 99%.

Current Popular Applications:

Users report regularly making 0.999% purity gold using this solvent

precipitated with a 10% solution of oxalic acid over a 48 hour period.  
This solvent can be re-used.  Wash it with water and hydrochloric acid and

it can be re-used many times for this purpose.  

Precautions:

Combustible.  (Must be pre-heated to burn)  Incompatible with nitric acid. 

May be harmful by inhalation, ingestion and skin absorption.  Irritating to
